Editorial ledger
Our Working Method
Good guidance should make the next workshop conversation more specific.
What this ledger is for
Mangowhistlezind.site is an independent information website about premium leather furniture workshops, traditional upholstery and custom furniture production. We write for furniture buyers and design-minded homeowners who want to understand a specification before committing to it.
Our starting point is construction. We explain frames and suspension before discussing the covering because a prestigious leather name cannot answer questions about the seat beneath it. We do not manufacture furniture, take commissions, sell leather or operate an approved-workshop directory.
How we handle sources
Article margins link to standards bodies, legislation, conservation organisations and relevant industry resources. We distinguish a test method from a product result and an industry explanation from an independent assessment. A linked organisation has not necessarily reviewed or endorsed our writing.
Standards can be revised, legislation amended and certification scopes changed. Before relying on a requirement in a contract, check the current primary source and its applicability. We do not reproduce paid standards or claim that a short summary replaces their full text.
What evidence can and cannot show
Illustrations explain visible processes; they are not inspections or proof of a workshop’s quality. A photograph of a seam cannot establish a chair’s durability. A swatch cannot predict every mark a seat will acquire. We aim to make these boundaries explicit rather than borrow certainty from attractive imagery.
There are no paid rankings or affiliate purchase links in this ledger. References to organisations and materials are explanatory, not approvals. We have no claimed affiliation with the standards bodies, museums or certification schemes we cite.
Corrections belong on the bench
If a term is unclear, a link is broken or a source no longer supports a statement, please send the page address, the passage and a primary reference where possible. We assess corrections on their evidence. A commercial preference is not a technical correction, but a documented change in a standard or regulation deserves attention.
We cannot diagnose damage, establish legal rights or assess a supplier’s workmanship remotely. For those questions, consult the appropriate professional. For the writing itself, leave an editorial note.
