Information We Handle

Only send what is needed to explain your editorial question.

Who is responsible

Mangowhistlezind Workshop Media Ltd operates mangowhistlezind.site. Our registered office is 18 Market Street, Lancaster LA1 1HT, United Kingdom; company number 15930624. For privacy enquiries, email [email protected] with “Privacy enquiry” in the subject.

The local message tool

The Contact page constructs text in your browser. It does not submit the entered fields to us, use a backend form service or save the draft in local storage. The copy control requests access to write the prepared text to your clipboard. The download control creates a text file on your device.

Your browser, operating system, clipboard manager or device backup may retain copies under their own settings. Refreshing or leaving the page may lose your draft. We receive the message only if you separately send it by email or another means.

Email correspondence

If you email us, we receive your address, message, any name you provide and email metadata or attachments. We use this information to respond, investigate corrections, maintain relevant editorial records and deal with requests. Our lawful basis is generally our legitimate interest in operating an editorial website and handling correspondence. Where applicable, we also process information to meet legal obligations.

Do not send sensitive personal information or third-party details that are unnecessary for your enquiry. We do not sell correspondence or use it to enrol you in a mailing list. We will seek permission before attributing a reader’s private contribution publicly unless another lawful basis clearly applies.

Technical information and providers

Delivering a website involves processing connection information such as IP addresses, requested paths, timestamps and browser headers. Hosting and security systems may keep technical records for delivery, troubleshooting and abuse prevention. These records are separate from the local message tool. This site’s supplied scripts do not include analytics, advertising trackers or browser fingerprinting.

Hosting and email providers may process information on our behalf under appropriate arrangements. We may also disclose information where legally required or necessary to establish or defend legal rights. Where processing involves restricted international transfers, applicable data-protection safeguards are required.

Retention and security

We retain correspondence only as long as reasonably needed to handle the enquiry and preserve relevant correction, dispute or legal records. Technical retention depends on the operational and security purpose. We review the continuing need for personal information rather than treating every message as a permanent record. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to certain processing. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. We may need proportionate information to confirm identity and will explain any legal restriction affecting a request.

You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK supervisory authority. We welcome the opportunity to address concerns directly first, but that does not limit your complaint rights.

External sites and changes

Source links lead to independently operated websites with their own privacy practices. We do not control them. Read our stored-preferences information for browser storage details. Material changes to our handling of personal information will be reflected on this page.
